Description
Underground (and above) light rail public transportation system
Theme

The Idea

There are many secret tunnels under the city

The Aspect

Entryway to the Underground

The Face

Name: Mordicai Lowe
Concept: Mortal bum who “lives” in the metro system and knows a lot of the entryways into the secret tunnels.

2) Name
Washington Monument
Description
Tourist attraction, worlds largest obelisk
Theme

The Idea

Several lay lines cross here and as a result magic does powerful, but unexpected things

The Face

Name: Faolon Connaught
Concept: Winter Court fae who will bargain for power?

Description
Enormous collection of books, articles and arcane knowledge mixed in

The Idea

Arcane knowledge is hidden here

Occult needles in a haystack

Name: Lydia Marian
Concept: Emissary of Power (the Old Gods), who is searching for something in the library for their master in return for..power? immortality? (Yes.)

Description
Rare archaeological, cultural, and natural artifacts stored here as well as showcased to the public
Theme

The Idea

Hold ancient objects of supernatural power

The Aspect

Great Power in Unwitting Hands

The Face

Name: Dr. Susan Gray
Concept: Mortal researcher(s?) just discovered something (stumbled on?) something big (and supernatural).

National Cathedral
Description
Episcopal church where many of DCs elite worship
Theme

The Idea

Secret tunnels house hidden information and holy relics cause unexplained phenomena

The Aspect

Veritable court of miracles

The Face

Name: The Very Reverend Dean Samuel Wellington.
Concept: Elderly masonic dean of the cathedral who knows many of it’s secrets.

6) Name
Grand Masonic Lodge of D.C.
Description
Headquarters of free-masonry in the region, two hundred year old building, modeled after ancient temples.
Threat

The Idea

A cabal of Old Gods, including Mercury, Mithras and Isis, uses the masons to regain lost power.

The Aspect

Constantly plotting to control more of the world and find new ways to entice people into worshipping the Old Gods.

The Face

Name: Julian Doyle
Concept: 33rd degree masonic emissary of Mercury

Description
Capitol, White House, FED, Supreme Court, Smithsonian, etc...
Threat

The Idea

Neutral grounds with a no combat rule enforced by the Keeper who uses it to gain power.

The Aspect

Enforces peace while spreading strife.

The Face

Name: Keeper Phaeton
Concept: Mysterious Sorcerer, Keeper of the Neutral Grounds

Cool Name
National Harbor
Description
Upscale commercial complex built around the Gaylord National grand hotel and convention center used by elites from around the world.
Threat

The Idea

White Court Vampires claim this as their domain and run a high scale escort service.

The Aspect

Lust turned to power.

The Face

Name: Alice LeBlanc
Concept: Scion of the Raith family and manager of their escort service.

9) Name
Bohemian Caverns (real place - I swear)
Description
Basement Jazz club, with a cave theme.
Threat

The Idea

This is an old fashioned jazz club where the manager assists musicians in bartering deals with Demons in return for prosperity.

The Aspect

A Deal with the Devil

The Face

Name: Raymond Collins
Concept: A Jazz club manager who is in way over his head and doesn’t know it. He doesn’t take the deals he sets up very seriously.

1789 & The Tombs
Description
A historical upscale restaurant above and a sports saloon underneath, connected with the famous Exorcist Stairs, popular with Georgetown University faculty and staff.
Threat

The Idea

A place for mortals “in the know” to gather and share information and decide whether or not a supernatural entity is a threat.

The Aspect

Friend or foe?

The Face

Name: Father James Lawrence
Concept: kindly Jesuit priest of St. Ignatius’ chapel by day, monster hunter by night, hangs out around the bar and protects Georgetown from Supernatural threats.

11) Name
Old Post Office
Description
Historic post office building converted in shops and restaurants.
Theme

The Idea

By night the tower is a popular meeting place for supernaturals to parlay on the edge of the neutral ground of the Mall.

The Aspect

Cloak and dagger politics

The Face

Name: Nikolas Avernus
Concept: A powerful White Council wizard who seeks to keep order between the supernatural factions of the city.

12) Name
The Octagon House
Description
One of the oldest mansions in downtown Washington and one of the most haunted structures in the city (along with the Capitol).
Theme

The Idea

Strange spiritual emanates from this place and it is crawling with ghosts but the cause of these phenomena is a mystery.

The Aspect

Gateway to Hades.

The Face

Name: Annabelle Garnet
Concept: Eccentric elderly member of the American Institute of Architects who takes care of the property and converses with the dead.
